taken at Roundhay Park, the day the whole country went white well most of it
Oh heavens Tim: I've been waiting for YEARS to take a shot like this!
We just don't seem to get hoare frosts anymore - which is a great pity
tim hitchins: were do you live Chris? thought most of the country had this, i was lucky the pipes were frozen at work
Great capture of a rather surreal landscape.
tim hitchins: most appreciated Matin, have a nice weekend
I was working when that hoare frost coated England and thus I missed out on the glories it created. richard
tim hitchins: sorry to hear it Richard, so should i have fortunately jack frost saw to it i didn't, bless him
You are a lucky fella and you know you are, this only last a few hours I have had that luck in December in Holland...these are treasure shots, congratulations here. Love the compostition
tim hitchins: oh yes i was Astrid, as i got out of the car next to the park a rather elderly gentleman collared me to say, "ere lad iv walked round that park everyday for the last 30years and iv never seen owt like it so get ya self in their and start taking some photo's before it melts" so i did and most appreciated Astrid, have a nice weekend
Quite surreal, nicely framed, amking mutliple pics
tim hitchins: cheers Nigel, yes just wish i had spent more time over this, sure their was better compositions to be had, bit like a headless chicken worrying the frost was going to start melting.
Framed in the 'windows' like some kind of a scenic wallpaper or a surround-a-rama. A faeries-on-ice kind of landscape. Excellent picture with surreal qualities about it.
tim hitchins: most appreciated Louis and have a nice weekend
Looks unreal doesn't it?
tim hitchins: it sure was a joy to walk round their Ian, once in a lifetime or so i have been told
