do not know what this fella was up too as it wasn't admiring the view there wasn't one lol, just out of sight unbelievable a couple from Kippax were sat on deck chairs which just goes to show us Yorkshire folk are tough as nails or daft as brushes lol
Still looks miserably cold, but I like the pattern the supports create.
tim hitchins: lol oh it was
This is straight out of 'Get Carter'. Lovely mooding brooding menacing feel .... the guy at the end is essential. Great tim.
richard
tim hitchins: well most appreciated Richard, on reflection feel he was one of the couple sat on the deck chairs, probs got up to try get warm
It's a powerful image, Tim! Let's hope he's beach-combing.
tim hitchins: thanks Ginnie happy you thought that
I knew there was someone out there Tim
Lovely shot
tim hitchins: lol, cheers Tracy
Reggie Perrin stripping off and ending it all! mal
tim hitchins: lol, maybe i was the highlight of day
This certainly does live up to its title - the treatment you have given it brings out the coldness. Love this shot - lucky you to get a figure right at the end!
Ingrid
tim hitchins: cheers Ingrid really appreciate your thoughts, tried a few things but i felt this brought home the stark conditions that morning.
Ahhh, there is an end!! Great once again... Chantal
tim hitchins: you couldn't see from one end to the other through the mist but we found it
Great moody shot Tim. I like the mysterious atmosphere here!
tim hitchins: much appreciated Richard
I love the atmosphere here !!!
tim hitchins: hi Ann and thank you so much
Even spookier than the last one.
tim hitchins: lol well yes i suppose it is, and i am well happy with the end result, cheers matey
this is my fave of the two. I love the mood and the grain, it has a sort of war time feeling to it, dunkirk or the like.
tim hitchins: yes Padraig me also, messed around a bit in pp, don't really know what i am doing wish i did but then thats the only way to learn i guess, just with my memory i often forget how i reached the end result
This would be warm for Yorkshire Tim
tim hitchins: lol cheers Bill
Hey Tim. Lovely lines again. Personally, I don't know about the composition. It's a little distracting. But the feeling coldness is overwhelmingly strong.
tim hitchins: good evening Nadine, hmmm the composition, yes you could be right but i liked the fact the lone figure is roughly central, it does look a wee bit odd but then i also feel it makes it more interesting to look at, have a good one 2mo
Tim I like this it has mood and aspooky feeling.very well done
tim hitchins: most appreciated vintage and have a good day matey
Gosh, would you mind me saying this is a very Mal-esque sort of picture, it's umm, a bit creepy though, don't you think?
Up there, top right, between the bits of the pier, is that round thing the sun?
tim hitchins: ha i don't mind at all Ellie i love his work
Moody, brooding photo with a hint of sinister menace in the lone figure up ahead.
It adds a dimension to the shot which I really like.
tim hitchins: cheers i was a wee bit lucky with the fella as there was hardly anybody on the beach that morning but then i made the effort so i deserve it i think
I like the fog, the person, BW.....and still....I think I would like the person more i center of the shot or more to one side.....but as always...that's me
tim hitchins: good day m8, big game tonight then lets hope we can get a early goal and glad you liked it or did you
This is superb Tim a very very sinister feel to this gives me the shivers. Whoever it was appeared at the right time the eye is taken straight to the person. Big well done.
tim hitchins: most appreciated, was hoping to get lots of worthwile shots but due to the fog and not knowing the area only managed a couple so i was more then happy how this turned out
Daft as brushes, ha! The generation says something like daft as dirt, if I translate it.
It is a strong picture. PS. you kicked the big monster? It looks as if the legs are shivering
tim hitchins: lol due to my eagerness to catch the fella i wasn't really composed as i should have been
Interesting viewpoint Tim and the general atmosphere of the shot realkly captures the miserable conditions at the time.
tim hitchins: thanks Brian i think it comes close to what it was like that morning.
Another interesting blurred shot, Tim. I like this atmosphere ...
"The man who's coming from nowhere ..."
tim hitchins: yes Fabrice i liked the slightly blurred effect created by the slow shutter speed which added to the atmosphere. Cheers matey.
Great atmosphere and the title is just the right word ! Bravo !
tim hitchins: well thats a big thank you coming your way
Spookily wonderful. Whatever you did in PP here worked out very well.
Hope the caught cold during the photosession wasn't your reward for this.
tim hitchins: most appreciated VZ your comments are always valued, as for the pp would have to do it again to remember lol.
and there comes the owner of the axe!
tim hitchins: lol nice one Liam
Super...
Great image, not sure about the treatment.
tim hitchins: cheers Ron, hmmm yes i messed around with it for a while getting lost as per usual and came up with this, wish i was good at pp but we learn as we go along don't we
Great mood and atmosphere you have going on in this image. Got a definite edge to it. I might have taken a slice off the bottom edge to emphasize that more but it's great as it stands Tim.
tim hitchins: well thank you Jose, wish i was a master at pp as i am sure this could look better but i am still happy with it and will try the crop have a nice weekend
I like it, it would have been interesting if you could have the person in the reflection too. I know it's easy to say now, in the dry with a bottle of wine
tim hitchins: yes that would have been good for sure but all things considered i have to be happy with this effort hic hic
I love this image. I particularly like the soft light and the hugeness of the structures. Also the reflection. Great shot.
tim hitchins: so happy with your thoughts jamoula was a awful day but then that added to the scene so made up for the lack of sunshine
Apt title of this ingenious photograph. Love the symmetry from the reflection and the vanishing point leading the eye down to the mysterious figure at the end!
tim hitchins: cheers Kevin really happy you thought that, makes the effort worthwhile to hear you say that cheers m8.
Hi Tim. I like this cinematographic´s picture. Genial!
Thank you for your comments. Enric.
tim hitchins: thank you so much Enric, most appreciated
