One
well after wondering away from the cove at Mallham and just walking enjoying the view i came across this lonesome tree just growing out of the limestone. When i say i took pictures form all sides with no other tree's visible at all it seems remarkable that this one came to grow there at all, strange indeed. The conditons were very un camera friendly what with the strong midday sunshine but i still liked the result:)

The tree looks as if it is blossoming clouds, Tim. Beautifully done.

I think you need to update your about to professional photographer because you are not a novice and most definitely need extremely little advise.
tim hitchins: lol its not so much the advise m8 although thats needed and welcome anytime, its more a case of been part of a lovely community
This tree represents strength and pride as opposed to loneliness to me. I love it.

P.S. You can call it "Joshua Tree" too (from the same band)

tim hitchins: woah Ian thats a wonderful comment and i really appreciate it
I wouldn't normally associate strong midday sun with a good image as the shadows are normally too harsh but this looks fantastic. Very dramatic sky and the lonely tree is a powerful symbol.
Ingrid

A magnificent photo! Never I thought "midday sunshine', I thought evening before sunset or at the end or at the beginning of the world- in any case a pic with transcendent/translucent connotations. The English clouds are even ore more impressive than the Dutch one!
