Great composition!
What an impressive viaduct!
tim hitchins: yes it sure is Remi, and thanks for the comment....tim.
Mystical image, Tim. I like the perspective.
tim hitchins: cheers Jewlya really happy you liked it
Oh Tim. this is beautiful! Likey!
tim hitchins: good evening Kathryn so happy you liked it that much, i had gone there at the crack of dawn, got lost, trudged about a mile over farmers fields, missed the sunrise
Lovely composition, and the smooth water effect from the 6s exposure really does it for me. The only disturbing thing might be the patch of blown highlights in the sky. Perhaps that will be a non-issue if converted into black and white?
tim hitchins: thanks so much Duane, yes blown skys are something i am hoping to over come, just got a cokin ND, heard they are not the best but finances are tight so will give it a go, hopefully you will be able to judge for yourself soon
Oh your back! You think they did not have cranes then?
This is an excellent picture with the long exposure and low angle. Excellent composition using the line of the viaduct. A likey for sure.
tim hitchins: lol, i am not sure if they did, but will look into it, and thanks Louis really happy you liked it so much, have a goodnight
Wonderful feel to this Tim ... ummmmm maybe I should contemplate taking a viaduct.
tim hitchins: thank you Richard, yes now i have been to this one i feel there is lots of possibilities for shots to be had with these great feats of engineering and sheer hard graft structures
Great image captured here Tim.Most of us would die building this with all the hard work required
tim hitchins: apparently there is some graves in the local cemetery of people who died doing just that m8, most appreciated
As a bricklayer you know and I am amazed by the craftsmanship...very nic picture here, love the point of view and the misty look.
tim hitchins: oh yes Astrid i know alright, it positively thrills me to look at these structure's knowing how much care and hard graft went into building them, happy you liked it
I like the low viewpoint - it makes the structure look even more impressive. The water has that fabulous milky look to it. Good stuff.
Ingrid
tim hitchins: thank you Ingrid, i was a bit fortunate the water was rather low as i would not have got that view point
This is just fabulous, Tim, with a great POV. I love the brooding feel to it.
tim hitchins: thank you Ginnie yes i did that as the light had all but gone so i thought it suited what i actually saw at the time
We feel so small here ... Well done, great atmosphere !!!
tim hitchins: most appreciated Ann

tim hitchins: cheers mal yes i thought it suited the scene as it was pretty dark at the time and thats how it came across to me, most appreciated m8
I love this photo, I would use it as a decor for the book :"A Game of thrones"(George R.R. MARTIN)
tim hitchins: good evening Chantal and many thanks for the comment, i will check the book out to see what i think
very impressive... ;o)
tim hitchins: a big thank you coming your way
I admire the technical knowledge and the craftmanship in order to build such a long viaduct(no Roman relicts?), this building is a decoration, an ornament for the landscape, and you have the classical beauty of the arches and the swinging horizontal/diagonal line of this viaduct which doesn't seem to end in a very beautiful way depictured, added by the soft reflections in the river and a cloudy sky with some tenderblue areas. I love the tranquil atmosphere in this pic - perhaps short before it will rain or a storm is coming up.
tim hitchins: boy do you have a way with words Philine do you write books in your spare time? and yes it rained but i was tucked up in bed when it started, most appreciated Philine really value your kind words........tim
Love the tones here Tim.
This is your specialty
tim hitchins: well i am glad to hear you thnk that Nadine, most appreciated
Excellent everything!
tim hitchins: cheers Nigel, happy you thought that, this was my second visit that day, as the first time after getting lost i missed the sunrise lol, so i tought i would try the twilight
Wow, the strength of the whole thing is amazing
tim hitchins: most appreciated Ellie really happy you thought that
Love the smooth tones in this, excellent work time !
tim hitchins: cheers ric
A really nice view.
tim hitchins: cheers Tony thanks for looking in
And now Tim, I'm definitely sure I'm jaleous !!!!!!!!! More than the bridge, the light, the perspective, the way the sky and the water "run away" ... I love everything in this photo.
tim hitchins: ha, no what you should say is inspired to go out and find yourself a viaduct and do something of equal stature i am sure your more then capable judging your latest effort
Have to say 1 of the best yet, have this on my wall any day, brilliant dad
tim hitchins: cheers son, will get it blown up for your birthday
