Tranquil.
Well i know its a unusual place to take a photo of a sunset but i thought at the time if it was me laid to rest under that tree i would be a happy man.

Unique! And really, a sunset in a graveyard is appropriate. The tree is beautiful -- and I think you captured the sun in the perfect location.
tim hitchins: thank you martie, yes i really like the way the head stones lead you to the sunset
It is hard to come up with a different sunset photo, but this does it!
tim hitchins: cheers Martin, yes i wasn't sure if it was a bit morbid but i really liked the scene so hey presto why not
I think a graveyard and a sunset go well together!
tim hitchins: so glad you thought that Helen, wasn't sure if peeps might find it morbid.
wonderful silhouettes and sky shot...just beautiful.
tim hitchins: most appreciated Laura
I agree that a graveyard and sunset go together. What I find outstanding is the three crosses that stand out strongly and they are on a hill. Whether you meant it or not this picture has strong biblical meaning
tim hitchins: thank you so much Louis, well i certainly composed it that way but i am not really a religious person so i couldn't really comment on any sort of meaning to it but many thanks again Louis
The Silhouette of the tree and crosses are fabulase, love the colour of the sky
tim hitchins: most appreciated m8, have a nice day
That is a lovely shot. Graveyards are wonderful places to take photographs at any time, but particularly when the light is fading. I love the silhouettes of the crosses.
Ingrid
tim hitchins: thank you Ingrid for your valued comment as always....tim
Great capture and atmosphere. The vampires will be out soon!
tim hitchins: lol, i was out of their well in time Matt
Beautiful sunset. I like the way you did highlight the three crooses!
tim hitchins: cheers Richard, yes i had walked around for quite a while looking for a interesting composition and i think this worked well.
Setting sun but status quo of life remains. Good feel to this.richard
tim hitchins: many thanks Richard
I agree with you Tim It would be a great reasting place.
Love the sunset. Be good while I am away
tim hitchins: oh i will Tracy, and you too
Yes, that location would suit be also! I like the silhouettes here and the amber light.
tim hitchins: yes i couldn't help but think that as i watched the sun go down behind the hill, what a lovely place to visit lost ones, most appreciated Alan
I like what Louis wrote about the 3 crosses on the hill, Tim. There are some people who pick out their cemetery plots ahead of time, thinking about things like the sunset, lighting, etc. This is beautifully captured.
tim hitchins: thank you so much Ginnie, wasn't sure whether to post this or not in the light of recent events but i am glad i did and so happy you thought that.
Your so right Tim, what a nice spot to be put when the fateful day comes. This whole thing fits together nicely.
tim hitchins: most appreciated Brian, yes i couldn't help but think that as i watched the sun go down, so peaceful and tranquil really really nice
quite a serene capture...
tim hitchins: cheers Sam
hmmm! some think it's serene Tim, I think it' gothic and spooky and I much prefer it that way. great shot. mal
tim hitchins: well thats a big thank you coming your way
Oh, this speaks serenity -- love the light and silhouette of the tree and crosses.
tim hitchins: cheers Kevin, seemed a crazy place for a sunset but i think i pulled it off
Brilliant, this is a very good atmosphere, I would not mind to have this sunset when I am 'rested' there
