..stumbled across this tunnel entrance on the net and just had to check it.Built from 1845-1848 with the help of 2,300 navies and 400 horses it is over 2 miles long and 290 foot below the surface at its deepest, the men were paid £1.50 per week and worked around the clock shifting up too 20 tons of soil and rock per shift, unfortunately 24 of them paid with their lives working in such hazardous conditions,will show the entrance in all its glory soon
1. sent to wrong side of tunnel, 1 hour walk for nowt. 2. found it, wrong exposure nowt caught, 3, next train caught us by suprise, nowt caught, 4. another day, first train two short expo no blur, 5. train comes other way not bad catch getting somewhere
