wasn't long ago since i posted a shot from this place but after a few tips from my son with the pp, really had to show this view of that fabulous place as i think this really gives you a better feel of what the place is like.
not often that you see this angle! Great stuff and I like the high contrasty roof line. mal
tim hitchins: cheers Mal really appreciate your thoughts
Beautiful, Tim. I love the lighting and the details as well as the repeated patterns. While the other was great, this one beats it hands down in my book.
I am not so sure why people sign their photographs on Shutterchance. I find it so visually distracting and it seems to me that our sites tell who we are. To each their own, though. I guess I am easily visually distracted
tim hitchins: cheers Kathryn and point taken, no more signature i promise. But i am well happy that you thought that and have a nice day
Fountains Abbey and a superb treatment of it. A place I hope to go to again sometime as it is magnificent.
tim hitchins: thank you Bill, really appreciated as always

tim hitchins: most appreciated Ginnie and have a good weekend
I think this is Fountains Abbey; a fond memry of my one and only visit last July. The colouring you've gives this gives a very alien feel to it. I like the mysteries in the dark shadows.
tim hitchins: yes Alan it is and i thought it was a superb place to visit and i am looking forward to going back in the summer
The pic looks like old engravings and gives a feel of the former monastic times - their "sounds of silence" can be felt. I like your (and other creative )kind of signature!
tim hitchins: ha not too sure about the signature but i liked the feeling that the pp gave to the scene, cheers and have a good weekend

Beautifully rendered work, Tim.
Actually, I like it when folks put their name on their image, as it helps me to remember who I am commenting to, and allows me to personalise the comment.
